The National Testing Agency (NTA) has today on June 7, 2024, officially released the exam city information slip for the UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) scheduled for June 2024. Candidates can now get their exam city slips from the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in. This information gives candidates important information regarding the location of their exam centers.

The official website allows candidates to download their exam city information slip by entering their application number and date of birth.
UGC NET i.e. University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET 2024) will be conducted on June 18. The NET exam (NET 2024) is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Every year this exam is conducted twice a year. Once in June and a second time in December. This year the June session exam will be conducted on June 18 for 83 subjects at 531 centers in the country. Students with a master's degree in any subject participate in the UGC NET exam. This exam is a qualifying exam for JRF and for Assistant Professor in various universities and colleges of the country. The full name of JRF is Junior Research Fellowship. Lakhs of candidates participate in both the sessions of UGC NET.
UGC NET June 2024: More marks are required for JRF
The difference between UGC NET and JRF is in the percentile obtained in the exam. To get JRF, more marks are required than NET. General category candidates need 40 percent marks to pass the UGC NET exam. At the same time, JRF's first paper has to be just passed. To get NET JRF, general category candidates have to score a minimum of 40 percent marks.

According to the official public notice released on 7 June 2024, the UGC NET exam will be conducted at various centers across the country for 83 subjects. The UGC NET admit card will be available on 15 June 2024 and the exam will be held on 18 June 2024. It is vital to remember that this slip is not an admit card, but rather preliminary information regarding the city in which the exam center is located.
UGC NET June 2024: UGC NET 2024 Exam Pattern
The UGC NET exam will consist of two papers. The paper will run for three hours. A total of 150 optional questions will be asked in it. Paper 1 is common, and is mandatory for every candidate. Paper 1 will be of a total of 50 marks and Paper 2 will be of a total of 100 marks.
