Along with this, the company has also used lane-keep assist technology in this vehicle to drive stably in a single lane on the highway. It is also being speculated that the AADS suite can be used in this SUV car like the Mahindra XUV700. In the Mahindra XUV 700, the company has used features like lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and driver attentiveness alert in ADAS.

Thar 5-Door has been one of the most talked about SUVs for the last few months. We last saw such a promotion for another Mahindra product, the XUV700, and now it looks like Mahindra is copying the same formula on the Thar 5-door too. It is also expected that the long wheelbase Mahindra Thar 5-door can be provided with features like 6 airbags, rear disc brake, 360-degree camera, and front parking sensor for the safety of the passengers. The Thar 5-door will require a better tune than the 3-door version and will come with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engine, whose performance will be tuned similarly to the Scorpio-N. Therefore we can expect that the petrol engine may be capable of generating 200bhp power and 370Nm torque. Whereas the diesel engine will generate an output of 172bhp and 370Nm. Both manual and automatic transmissions are anticipated to be offered. The Thar 5-door may come with a 4×4 option at launch and 4×2 will be launched later.
